Its COVID19, #lifeinquarantine kind of time in 2020 and REAL ESTATE is making history in ARIZONA. This past weekend, one of Arizona’s Most Expensive Homes JUST SOLD! $17.5 million dollars in PARADISE VALLEY is now considered the SECOND most expensive home sold in Arizona.
Phoenix Suns owner, Robert Sarver, sold his house last year for $19.25 million -which is considered to be the #1 most expensive home EVER sold in the state. He started on the market in 2016 at $35mil but then sold to a cash buyer in 2019. The 8 acre estate came fully equipped with 17 bathrooms, 5 bedrooms, Camelback Mountain views, a hair salon + indoor basketball court. It has a guest house and Sarver says that he and his wife expanded the property. All the real estate pros that were involved said it was a noteworthy milestone for our community and luxury real estate market at large! That is just crazy real estate talk, like to own a property, use it to its best use and then add some more …maybe Sarver had team parties all the time but that is a ridiculous sounding house! Way too many bathrooms to clean but views for days! And a lot of homeowner pride too! I would have loved to represent the seller or buyer in that deal! How fun.
The $17.5 million dollar home that just sold this weekend, is located west of Scottsdale Rd & McDonald. The contemporary style built mansion, sits on 5 acres, with 12 bathrooms, 6 bedrooms, a sunken tennis court, a library and a wine room + 15,000 sqft of living space and endless views of Camelback Mountain. Hello, this sounds like #QUARANTINE HEAVEN! The home was sold by former president & CEO of an invetment firm in California; Capital Investments. Best part about his deal — cash buyer!! Cash buyers are always an added plus! I wonder if Mr. Clemmensen has one of those SUPREME money guns. My kids love that thing! That would have been a lot of cash to play with!
So what does this mean? Why is this important? Well it goes to show that money is everywhere! PEOPLE ALWAYS NEED A HOME AND REAL ESTATE IS LIFE! There is no denying that everyone has a different story with their own purpose and intention + interests. Real Estate ownership can happen in many different forms and price points. What works for some might not work for others. Same goes with everything in life. We are who we are.
But #location has always been a key factor in the price of real estate. Arizona has so much to offer. Add the fact that we are still attracting CASH BUYERS and the trend of #movingtoarizona never gets old! I have traveled all across the states, I love architecture and design almost as much as I love the sun. But #Arizona is home for so many reasons! With the quarantine continuing, I am spending more time to value what I have and where I want to go.
I have been working to maintain my #realestate investments during this quarantine lockdown. Not as many Home Depot trips as I would like but I am staying busy with cleaning, organizing, gardening and working on our house. REAL ESTATE IS LIKE A SEED TO ME. You make the investment, or plant your seed in a property and then water it. Watering your real estate includes keeping up with your regular home maintenance +completing paint, flooring and other updates over the years owned to help GROW the home value. That one seed, or one property, can then turn into various different types of flowers or residual reseeding. To me, real estate can be the seed that continues to produce for the future.
Let this short read be a REMINDER TO VALUE WHAT YOU HAVE, FOCUS ON THINGS IN YOUR CONTROL [home repairs, landscape, organizing and cleaning of your home] & STAY HOPEFUL that the seeds you plant, will grow and become fruitful.
Cheers & Stay Healthy during Quarantine. XO, Sumer
